What a beautiful wedding reception at St. Mary's in downtown Raleigh! We love wedding receptions where we are really able to shine as caterers.
The catering menu included a european and domestic cheese station, and a fresh fruit display station. The cheese station featured traditional cheeses like Cheddar and Gouda, but also more interesting cheeses like a Sage Derby. There were also baked bries in phyllo dough with either a pesto spread or a raspberry compote.
Then there was the very popular "Mashed Potato Bar," where guests had the choice of mashed red or sweet potatos with all the toppings.
The heavier hors d'oeuvres options included our famous Crab Dip, Garlic Farmhouse Chicken, and a Scottie Thompson bar (fresh goat cheese and herbed marinara served with toasted baguette slices).
The menu continued with a Shrimp & Grits station, and a carving station with ham, roasted turkey, and herbed pork loin and served with our homemade yeast rolls.
You can't forget dessert! Guests were offered their choice of Pumpkin Pie Bouchee, Apple Crisp Tarlets, Pecan Bars, Lemon Bars, Belgian Chocolate Cups, and a wide variety of Cannon Catering's gourmet cookies.
